Aoralscan 3 has a fairly large scanning area of 16x12x22 mm with an attachment for adult patients and 12x9x22 mm with an attachment for small patients.
The large scanning depth allows the use of the equipment in the treatment of periodontitis, as it captures the gum area and allows you to assess the depth of tissue damage.
Scanning tips are 15% thinner and longer than the predecessor model, and also feature automatic anti-fogging for superior scanning results. Replaceable tips can be autoclaved up to 100 cycles.
The speed of the Aoralscan 3 has also increased. A full scan of one jaw takes only 25 seconds, and a full arch takes 1 minute.
